Guys with Ties Philanthropy – Treasurer
Jared Mannino is from Long Island, New York and moved to Orlando, Florida in the summer of 2013. He received his Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing his Masters of Science in Interdisciplinary Engineering with a concentration in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University’s Professional Education Program. Since moving to Orlando, Jared has worked as a Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin performing different technical roles on various government programs. He currently trains in martial arts and loves to be outdoors whenever possible, preferably in his kayak or on the beach.
Fitting the mold of the Millennial spirit, Jared has a passion and desire to make a difference in his community and positively impact the world with the unique energy and vigor that’s found in this young generation. Upon being hired on at Lockheed Martin, Jared quickly joined their Volunteer Panel and participated and led employee volunteering events in the local community.
Jared is now the chair of the Volunteer Panel and leads them in organizing efforts, such as the company’s annual Day of Caring, Habitat for Humanity builds, Engineering Week and Boys and Girls Club of America. Due to his career and own education, Jared’s real passion is in STEM education outreach. In this day and age, he sees the importance of reaching out to the children of the Orlando community and getting them excited about STEM knowledge and careers. This year Jared joined the Ambassador Program for the Guys with Ties Philanthropy and has recently been elected to their Board of Directors and is now their Director of Charities.
