Preston was born and raised in Central Florida, he graduated from Edgewater High School in 1998. He received a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in 2003. He is a Black Belt in the Okinawan Style of Martial Arts, Yoshukai. Preston has held over eight world titles in various sport fighting and kickboxing organizations. He stars in the instructional fighting series "Rock Solid Sparring", by Century Vision, and "Classroom Sparring Drills and Games for Kids" by Black and Blue Productions.

Preston is a sales representative and territory manager for H&E Equipment Services, the Hi-Lift Division. Dealing primarily with Aerial Construction Equipment, such as Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts, and Fork Lifts, he covers the Orange, Seminole, Volusia, Lake, and Marion Counties. Prior to joining H&E, Preston worked as a manager for Hertz Local Edition. He has also taught martial arts to women, men and children for over 10 years.

In his free time, Preston enjoys working out and has a passion for singing and traveling the world. He has traveled to South Africa, Canada, Guatemala, and most of Europe to fight for world titles.
